I Would just like to make people aware that ocd is an illnes and is not to be sniggered at..
Ocd stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and is one of the many illnesess that people either don't understand or think is made up.
I would just like to explain once upon a time ago i was that person who thought people exaggarated about things and illnesess like ocd, adhd etc were just made up after all when i was a kid no-one had ever heard of such illnesess, we lived in a world where people just ignored things like that like they never exsisted but now in society we are different and more understanding.
Ocd is something that is believed to trigger in your childhood i can't really remember when my illness started all i do know is it went from bad to worse.
I would just like to write a little bit about how it affects me. The first memory i have is being bossy which was a form of my controlling behaviour which did start in my childhood.
Control is one of the main factors of ocd and this is something i struggle with everyday and although i don't mean to be controlling and inquisitive i find it hard to control.
I hear myself thinking as soon as i have been too inquisitive or controlling i shouldn't have done that or i shouldn't have said that but at the time it just happens.
With me control is a real problem in my everyday life. I have to calculate sums so many times a day and control money, family and the home. My husband has just learn't to accept it.
It is hard for family to deal with but my family know how much i struggle and in a way they let me get away with things for a peaceful life.
There is so much more to know about ocd and will write more next week but in the meantime if you have any information about ocd or would like to share your views feel free. I am not a professional only a sufferer so all this is based on purely how it has affected me.

Recession
More and more people are loosing their jobs each and everyday. What is the world coming to?
Food is going up and the wages are not covering even normal everyday living expenses.
We can’t carry on living in this standard of economy something drastically needs to be done, otherwise we are going to end up like those third world countries.
Money needs to go back into the economy, therefore we need to create jobs for people so that people can live again.
The way things are at the moment we will run out of money to pay people on benefits and it’s a shame for the people who really need it.
The thing that annoys me the most is that there are genuine people out there that have paid money into the country yet they are living on extremely low incomes and because they don’t receive job seekers allowance they do not qualify for bus passes or free school meals, I mean honestly these people are genuinely struggling and they are working for peanuts we should be able to help them.
After all there are people also out there on the other hand that have no intention of working and manage to live on the dole for many years happily taking tax payers money. Surely, the government needs to sort this out and get people back into work.

What Does The Future Have in Store
I couldn't help but notice that this world has changed dramatically since i was a child. I feel bad for the young adults just coming out of college and university for what has the world got to offer them?
I am not really sure how this story is going to end because the whole country is starting to suffer now. How did we get in this mess in the first place i ask myself?
Statistics show that the country is going to get further and further into financial ruin as the years to come continue. People everyday, every second as we speak are loosing their jobs. More and more people are joining the quee on the dole. People who have worked and studied all their life and have qualifications coming out of their ears no longer means much. People are coming out of university and getting jobs in leading supermarkets because their are no other jobs.
Recently, even supermarkets are failing their targets and their profits are starting to go down bit by bit who knows in years to come or even months could their profits start to fall even further as times hit a hard recession which will affect the world.
I know that people have to eat but will we go back to the days when we would make a stu last a week and grow our own vegetables and become self sufficient.
Who knows what these coming months have to bring us whether they have more jobs or complete financial ruin but whatever is coming always remember that you that are close must stick together and in the mean time start by putting as much money back into the economy as you can.

Contraception
Children and adults accross the nation are having unprotected sex and are being completely naive as to what could happen.
We are not just talking about pregnancy here although this is a major issue in itself but we are talking about sti's and std's some which are worse than others.None of which are pleasant.
By having unprotected sex you can catch anything from herpes to gonera, syphillis or chlaymadia which is bad enough but if caught in time is curable.
Worse case senario is hepatitis, hiv or even aids which is controllable but not curable although hepatitis if caught in time can go depending on which one you get.
People are more educated than ever before about sexually transmitted diseases yet they are having sex with strangers, people they just met on the internet not knowing enough about them.
We as a nation have to realise how serious this is it only takes one mistake with the wrong person and bang you are living on borrowed time. We need to understand the importance of contraception.
Why do you think people are ignoring the warnings i do not know but i will tell you this we need to teach our children to protect their selves because lets face it you can't stop them having sex but you can at least educate them to keep safe.

The Government
It is quite an understatement to say that the government has made a complete and utter mess of this country. Millions of people are out of work and yet people that are working are being penalised. They are now talking about supermarkets opening 365 days a year yes that includes Christmas day can you believe it do they not think that people have a life. Oh yeah its ok for the politicians they will be sitting round the table in Buckingham palace eating their Christmas dinner while people like me will be working instead of sitting with my family eating Christmas day well not bloody likely I will make a stand I work enough all year round I will not sacrifice my family for a days work at Christmas. What happened to people spending time with their families?
supermarkets
Gone are the times of families spending quality time together.
What is this world coming to I ask myself? The government expects you to work around the clock now no time for your partner or your children.
No wonder so many marriages are ending in divorce and so many kids are going off the rails and committing crimes from young ages because no-one has time for their children anymore. You need to work to survive, as everything in this world is so money orientated nowadays whereas in our day money and material things were not important just love and only the man of the house needed to work.
I cannot believe that the government are considering that supermarkets should be open 24 hours a day seven days a week three hundred and sixty five days a year. I mean honestly who in their right mind wants to work on Christmas day, ok I understand that nurses and carers and people in this sector need to as it is a necessity but in retail come on who wants to shop on Christmas day. And to top it all they also want to stop all their night premiums and Sunday premiums and bank holiday pay so you tell me do they really think apart from the fact that these people apart from having a family want to work on Christmas and other such unsociable hours and bank holidays want to work for normal pay.
If they go ahead with this I feel that they will have a crisis on their hands as so many people will walk out and they will have a whole load of people back on the dole que or they will have a strike. They will be heading for a fall. It is fine the way it is the stores are open everyday apart from Christmas day and easter Sunday as it is if people can’t find time to shop in the long days they trade then their has definitely got to be something extremely wrong.

Psychosis in young teens indulging in cannabis
Studies show that cannabis can cause psychosis especially in young teenage children. There are adults and young teens smoking this drug all over the world and more and more teens are being diagnosed with mental health problems everyday.
We as a society need to change the way people think and to stop young teens from indulging in this very dangerous drug.
Although, Cannabis is not addictive it is psychologically and when taken goes straight to your brain and right through your bloodstream.
First of all we need to get parents back into work and off benefits so they don’t have as much time on their hands because this is where the children are learning it from as majority of parents are smoking cannabis and living on benefits. Not only are they teaching their children to live a life of drugs they are also teaching them to live on benefits instead of going to work or college.
